Why the ETS-Air Award Matters
Respiratory diseases remain among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality globally, including asthma, COPD, lung cancer, and interstitial lung diseases.
Despite significant global advancements, the region continues to face challenges such as:
- Limited structured funding for respiratory research
- Lack of innovation platforms for young investigators
- Need for stronger translational research pathways
