Dr. Husain Alawadhi, a graduate of the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain, transitioned to the United States, completing his Internal Medicine residency at Wayne State University. He pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care, achieving American Board certification. With a focus on lung infections and ICU care, he furthered his expertise with a fellowship in Infectious Disease, gaining dual board certification. From 2009 to 2020, he led the Intensive Care Unit at Mafarq Hospital. During the pandemic, he served as the Medical Director of the COVID field hospital in Ajman. Currently, a consultant in Infectious Disease, he explores interests in climate change and participates in various local and international meeting.

Dr. Ashraf Elhoufy is a physician and intensivist, graduating with honors from the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in November 1984. He earned a Master’s degree in Chest Diseases with a subspecialty in critical care in 1989, followed by MRCP (UK) in 1997 and fellowship of Royal College of Physicians, London, in 2008. He holds the European Diploma of Intensive Care Medicine (2012). Currently, he serves as Consultant and Head of Intensive Care Department at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, Professor of Medicine at Dubai Medical College, examiner for Royal College of Physicians (UK), and Vice President of Emirates Intensive Care Society.

Dr. Mohamed Hassan Mahmoud Badawy is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Kuwait Hospital, Sharjah, UAE, and Deputy ICU Manager. He has over 20 years of clinical experience in critical care and anaesthesia across Egypt, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Badawy holds the Arab Board of Anaesthesia, the Egyptian Fellowship in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, and the European Diploma in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (EDAIC). He also completed Master’s and MD training in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, and Pain Management. In addition, he is certified by the American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. He serves as a core faculty member in the Arab and Emirati Board residency programs and contributes to regional postgraduate training. His academic interests focus on artificial intelligence applications in critical care, point-of-care ultrasound, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced ICU procedures, with a strong emphasis on integrating digital innovation into clinical decision-making and critical care education.

Dr. Mohammed Harriss is a distinguished Consultant Pulmonologist at Medcare Hospital Sharjah and Medcare Royal Hospital Dubai with over two decades of expertise in respiratory and critical care medicine. He earned his MBBS and MD from Calicut Medical College and holds prestigious qualifications including MRCP (UK), EDIC, EDRM, and an MSc in Sleep Medicine from University of Oxford. Dr. Harriss is affiliated with leading international medical societies and specializes in allergy and asthma management, pulmonary critical care, and the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related respiratory disorders.

Dr Mohamed Shaaban has been working as Associate Professor and Consultant of
Pulmonary Medicine at Faculty of medicine, Cairo University (Kasr Al Ainy University
Hospital), Egypt till now and he is currently working as Pulmonology Consultant at Prime
Hospital Al Garhoud, Dubai, UAE.

He had worked in prestigious JCI accredited and well-known hospitals in UAE as Saudi
German Health UAE and NMC Speciality Hospital Dubai, UAE.

Dr Shaaban has extensive experience in teaching medical students and residents at Faculty
of Medicine, Cairo University and clinical research experience with 14 publications in
international journals. 

Dr Shaaban is an active member in both Interstitial Lung Diseases and Pulmonary
Hypertension groups at Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt and a member of
European Respiratory Society, Emirates Thoracic Society and Egyptian Society of Chest
Diseases and Tuberculosis.

Dr. Muhammad Tufail, FRCP (London) Consultant Pulmonologist Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi. Dr. Tufail completed his CCT in respiratory and general medicine in London and then worked as a consultant pulmonologist at Glenfield Hospitsl, Leicester for six years before moving to Abu Dhabi in 2022. He had been awarded with five clinical excellence awards (CEA) by University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in 2020. He was the finalist for three national awards for quality improvement projects. Dr. Tufail served as a  member of the British Thoracic Society (BTS) central council and its Education and Training Committee.

Dr. Govinda Saicharan Bodi, MD, MRCP ( UK) is an Associate Staff Physician and Consultant Pulmonologist within the Pulmonary Medicine Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Hospital Care Institute since 2016. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Bodi worked as a Pulmonologist in various hospitals in the UAE, including Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi for six years. Prior to that, Dr. Bodi worked as an Assistant Professor of Pulmonology for twelve years at the reputable Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, one of the oldest medical institutes in India. He also worked as a consultant pulmonologist during this time at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad, India. Dr. Bodi has twenty eight years of experience in the field of Pulmonary Medicine, with a special interest in the management of airway disorders, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary infections , sleep apnea and autoimmune mediated lung diseases. His research interests include the health benefits of meditation and yogic breathing and has around 15 publications and presented in various prestigious international conferences. Dr. Bodi resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife, son and daughter and his hobbies include traveling, walking and reading. He is passionate about promoting human wellbeing through spirituality.

Dr. Fayed has obtained more than 25 years of experience in the field of Pulmonology. In addition to earning a Master and a Doctorate degree in Respiratory medicine, He also obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, Fellow Royal College of Glasgow and became a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
