Day 1
The symposium will discuss the Clinical presentation of stroke, the importance of early recognition and treatment, Role of nurses in the stroke chain of survival, Monitoring and care of post-thrombolysis and post-thrombectomy patients, and How to prevent post-stroke complications.
The workshop will help the attendees to be able to diagnose acute stroke and evaluate patients for intervention, Understand the importance of timely reperfusion, know the indications and contraindications of thrombolysis and deal with its complications, and know the elements of post-thrombolysis care.
The workshop will help the attendees to be familiar with the structure of a stroke specialized care unit, to be aware of the adequate admission criteria, assessment tools, and intervention techniques for stroke survivors, to be aware of the interdisciplinary team involved in stroke rehabilitation, to build knowledge on how to develop an appropriate plan of care based on the needs of the stroke survivors, how to sustain and measure the durability of the program outcomes after discharge.
