Professor Hayden McRobbie is Professor of Population Health at Queen Mary University of London and a public health physician with nearly three decades of experience across clinical practice, academia, and senior public service in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. His research focuses on tobacco dependence, harm reduction, and obesity, spanning clinical trials of pharmacological and behavioural interventions and emerging nicotine products. He has published extensively, informing clinical practice and policy at national and international levels, and has served as a subject matter expert in tobacco control for the New Zealand Ministry of Health and in engagements with the WHO.

Dr. Saif Al Mubaihsi is a Senior Consultant Pulmonologist with extensive clinical, academic, and administrative expertise. He graduated at the top of his class with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). He completed residency training in Core Internal Medicine and Adult Respiratory Medicine at the University of Toronto, achieving the Fellowships of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCP) in both disciplines. 

Currently serving as Senior Consultant Pulmonologist and Head of the Pulmonology Unit at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital with interest in asthma and chronic airway diseases. He is  also an active educator, contributing to Oman’s medical community through his work with the Oman Medical Specialty Board and as a speaker at national and international conferences. 

He co-authored several publications in leading medical journals, addressing diverse topics like sarcoidosis, asthma, COVID-19 management, and pulmonary embolism. Beyond his medical contributions, He is also a committed leader, chairing several committees focused on clinical service delivery and education.

Omar Usmani MB BS, PhD, FHEA, FRCP FERS, is Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Consultant Physician at the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI), Imperial College London (ICL), Royal Brompton Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital London.  

He is an International Authority on Aerosol Science and Inhalation Medicine whose research has fundamentally changed the understanding of therapeutic aerosol deposition and clinical effectiveness in inhaled drug delivery to the lungs.  

He received the 2005 NHLI Imperial College PhD Prize for the Best Thesis. In 2015, he was awarded the Thomas T Mercer Award recognising his International Research Excellence in Pharmaceutical Aerosols and Inhalable Materials. In 2019, he was awarded Fellowship of the European Respiratory Society (FERS).  

He is the ERS Science Council Chair and current Past-President of the International Society of Aerosols in Medicine (ISAM).

Prof. Mohammed Al Ghobain is currently a Professor at the College of Medicine, KSAU-HS and a Consultant Pulmonologist at King Abdulaziz Medical City, MNGHA. He is also an Associate Editor at Annals of Thoracic Medicine. His field of interest includes Asthma, COPD and Epidemiology of Respiratory diseases. He has also taken part in over 80 research publications and has given more than 140 presentations at different medical conferences locally and globally. He is founder member of Saudi initiative for asthma group, chair of Saudi COPD group and chair of Saudi guidelines for vaccinations in adult patients with chronic respiratory diseases.

Former Chairman of Internal Medicine Program: Oman Medical Specificalry Board (OMSB), Local Advisor for Royal College of Edinburgh in Oman and Former President of Oman Respiratory Society; Received his MBBS in King Faisal University, KS, and earned his Master's Degree in Pulmonary Hypertension from University of Bologna, Italy. Fellow of Chest College of Physicians of America, and Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has been very active in international conferences and has a number of published articles to his name.

Dr. Ali Saeed Wahla, is a Staff Physician in the Respiratory Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. At Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Wahla is the Director of the Bronchoscopy Suite and one of the Interventional Pulmonologists. He specializes in advanced pulmonary procedures focused on complex airway and pleural disorders. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Wahla worked in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan as a Consultant. He received his medical degree from the Aga Khan University in Pakistan and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, North Carolina, USA, where he also completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Interventional Pulmonology.

Dr. Amal Al-Ameeri is a distinguished Consultant Pulmonologist at Tawam Hospital, renowned for her expertise in cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis. With an impressive array of credentials, including membership in the European Cystic Fibrosis Society and the European Respiratory Society. Dr. Amal has dedicated her career to advancing respiratory medicine. Dr. Amal's journey in medicine began at the University of Sharjah, where she earned her medical degree. Following this, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Tawam Hospital, solidifying her foundational skills and knowledge. Driven by a passion for respiratory health, she pursued a clinical fellowship in general respiratory medicine at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She then received specialized training in cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis, areas in which she has since made significant contributions. She is a member of Advance CF group in ECSF 2024. As the program director of the internship program at Tawam Hospital. Dr. Amal plays a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. Her commitment to education and excellence in clinical practice has made her a respected leader in her field. Dr. Amal's professional affiliations and extensive training highlight her dedication to providing the highest standard of care to her patients. Her work continues to impact the lives of those suffering from complex respiratory conditions, making her an invaluable asset to the medical community.

Dr. Husain Alawadhi a graduate of the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain, transitioned to the United States, completing his Internal Medicine residency at Wayne State University. He pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care, achieving American Board certification. With a focus on lung infections and ICU care, he furthered his expertise with a fellowship in Infectious Disease, gaining dual board certification. From 2009 to 2020, he led the Intensive Care Unit at Mafarq Hospital. During the pandemic, he served as the Medical Director of the COVID field hospital in Ajman. Currently, a consultant in Infectious Disease, he explores interests in climate change and participates in various local and international meeting.

Dr. Nadia AlSayed Waheed is a Specialist Pediatric Pulmonologist at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, Dubai. She graduated with honors from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed her internship and residency at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, an ACGME-accredited program. Dr. AlSayed holds the Arab Board certification in Pediatrics and completed a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. She also earned the HERMES Diploma in Respiratory Medicine from the European Respiratory Society. Her clinical expertise spans complex respiratory disorders in children, with a strong commitment to advancing pediatric pulmonary care. 

Dr. Al Khouri obtained Bachelor of Health Sciences from Dubai Medical College, in May 2011. Following her medical education, Dr. Alkhouri completed a Pediatric Residency Program at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Hospital in Aug 2016 and obtained Arab Board in Pediatrics in 2017. Further enhancing her expertise, Dr. Al Alkhouri completed Pediatric Respiratory Fellowship at University of Toronto / The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada between Sept 2021 - January 2024. Dr. Al Khouri is working as a Pediatric Pulmonology Consultant at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City from March 2024 until present.

Dr. Emad Dawoud, a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Chief of Medical Oncology at Tawam Hospital in the United Arab Emirates, has a distinguished medical career spanning over two decades. Dr. Dawoud completed his medical degree (MD) and PhD in clinical oncology in 2010. He further solidified his expertise in the field by becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in medical oncology in 2012 and obtaining a Master’s degree in clinical oncology in 2003. Dr. Dawoud’s academic journey began at Al Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he graduated in 1997, and has been appointed as lecturer of clinical oncology in 2010. Throughout his career, Dr. Dawoud has been involved in numerous clinical trials, serving as a principal investigator or co-investigator in over 50 clinical trials and over 100 publications. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he has been a member of various esteemed associations, including (ASCO), (ESMO), and (ESTRO).

Dr. Sarim Ather is the AI lead for SEHA Radiology Vertical and Chief of Diagnostic Radiology for the Al Ain region. He has extensive experience of evaluating and deploying medical imaging AI technologies including for Chest X-rays and Chest CTs. Prior to joining SEHA, Dr Ather was a part of the UK Royal College of Radiologists AI Advisory group and setup the Oxford Clinical AI Research Group.

Dr. Jehad Abdalla is an Infectious Diseases Consultant at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi, UAE. He serves as Chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) Committee at SEHA and is a member of the expert panel and strategic planning team for tuberculosis at the Abu Dhabi Health Authority. Dr. Abdalla is American Board–certified in Infectious Diseases. His research and teaching interests focus on viral and fungal infections, tuberculosis, multidrug-resistant organisms, and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.

Dr. Yasser Madani is a UK-Board Certified Physician in Pulmonology and Internal Medicine. He is a Consultant Pulmonologist at Healthpoint Hospital, Mubadala Health, Abu Dhabi. He trained in London working across various university teaching and tertiary hospitals such as Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He held the position of Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Brunel Medical School in London.
