Dr. Nader Francis is a distinguished Pediatric Thoracic Consultant boasting an extensive 26-year career in the field. He presently holds the prestigious position of Head of the Pediatric Chest Diseases Unit at Al Qassimi Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Sharjah.
Dr. Francis embarked on his medical journey at the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Medicine, where he completed his degree in General Medicine in 1990. Seeking specialization in pediatrics, he relocated to Belgium for further education at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Brussels. His pursuit of excellence led him to the Free University of Brussels, where he specialized in pediatric chest diseases, culminating in his graduation in 1998. Dr. Francis is also a proud member of the European Respiratory Diseases Association.
Before joining Al Qassimi Hospital in 2016, Dr. Francis served at the University of Aleppo as a Pediatric Chest Physician. In this role, he was responsible for supervising medical students and pediatric residents, enriching the educational experience with his expertise. His tenure in the UAE has been marked by significant contributions to both education and scientific research. Dr. Francis has authored numerous research papers published in prestigious medical journals, focusing on pediatric chest diseases.
Under his leadership, the Pediatric Chest Diseases Unit at Al Qasimi Hospital has seen remarkable growth and development. Today, the unit stands as a comprehensive center for pediatric chest medicine, encompassing all facets, including sleep-related diseases. Dr. Francis’s vision is to elevate the Pediatric Chest Diseases Unit at Al Qasimi Pediatric Hospital to a benchmark of excellence on a regional scale, a testament to his dedication and ambition in the field of pediatric respiratory medicine.
